MEET JOSEPH LUCIO

I’m Joseph, a lifelong Cameron County resident, husband, and father of two young children. My family and I are proud to call this community home — it’s where we work, where we worship, and where we’re raising the next generation.
I am also proud of my Native American heritage, which has shaped my values of service, community, and respect for the land we share. Those values guided me during my time in the military, where I learned the importance of accountability, leadership, and working for the good of others.
Now, I’m ready to bring those lessons home. I believe our county government should reflect the values of its people: honesty, fairness, and transparency. Families like mine are working hard to make ends meet, and we deserve leaders who understand those struggles — leaders who will put people first, not politics or insiders.
I’m running for County Commissioner to bring new energy and real change to Precinct 2. Together, we can build a county that works for every family, not just a few.
